HYPER // ECHO
HYPER//ECHO is a free exhibit in ACMI’s Gallery 5, which explores the internet and digital culture.
This exhibit is a online multiplayer experience where people can join a communal digital space. Explore a world anonymously, build buildings and communicate with each other in a symbolic language. Over time the buildings decay and eventually crumble to a point beyond repair.
I’ve contributed in the following areas:
- Web and Mobile UI/UX
- Client Programming (HTML/JS/CSS)
- Quality Assurance
- Gameplay Design

WA Museum Boola Bardip
At Hungry Sky I worked on programming 4 different interactive exhibits created in Unity.
Amazing Adaptations
Australian animals are hidden in this virtual outback environment. On tapping a feature animation plays, zooms in and then plays a subtitled video about that animal.
Wildlife-friendly Garden
Decorate a virtual australian garden by dragging items from the bottom bar onto the grass. The placement of flora and decorations affects how wildlife prosper in that area.
Fireballs in the Sky
Find the fireballs in the virtual night sky using either touch or gyro controls on the iPad. Report the type, direction, duration and colour using the on screen interface. After the user has constructed their report, their sighting will be compared with the actual original sighting. Original fireballs built from real confirmed sighting data, and real constellation data.
ISpy Spinifex
In this Augmented Reality Exhibit find the 7 hidden creatures in the australian spinifex by pointing the iPad at them. Built using Unitys ARFoundation + ARKit.
My roles on this has been working on
- Prototyping
- Implementation
- Iteration based on client feedback
